How to configure currencies to display prices in the widget

You can now display prices on your widget in specific currency(ies), giving your users a clearer and more consistent experience. While it can serve as a pricing reference, when used together with multi-currency support it also ensures that payments are handled correctly, since the option will be created in the currency selected from the available payment methods.

Setting Up the Currency Feature

First, the currency option needs to be enabled in your profile by our team.

  • Once enabled, each widget will have a new setting called Display prices in a specific currency. Click Yes if you want to activate the currency selection for that widget

  • You can then choose a Default currency, which will be shown when the widget first loads

  • In the Widget Currencies section, you can select one or more currencies in which prices will be displayed. (The default currency is always included in the list of widget currencies and cannot be removed)

  • Save your settings

Tip: This setting is for display purposes only and does not affect the payment currency defined in your payment methods

What Users See

On the widget, the selected default currency appears in the top-right corner. All prices across the widget pages will display in the chosen currency.

Users can click the dropdown to switch to any other available currency at any time.

Payment Page Behavior

The widget currency is linked to the currency set in the Payment method:

  • If a vessel has a Payment method in the same currency as the widget’s selected currency, it will be automatically selected in the Choose payment method block

  • If no Payment method exists for the selected widget currency, the vessel's default currency is used for payment

  • If the vessel does not have a payment method in the vessel's currency or in the widget's currency, then in the Choose payment method block, it will be necessary to choose from the currencies for which a payment method is available.

Example:

  • Boat currency: EUR

  • Widget currency selected: EUR

  • No Payment method for EUR → Payment defaults to one of the payment methods

Tip: The Payment amount on the checkout page always follows the available payment methods, which may differ from the widget display currency.

An auto-detect feature is now available. It automatically sets the currency based on the user’s location and the widget’s predefined currency settings.
