Sundari Voyages by Archipelago Reserve

My name is Dela, Co-Founder and Marketing Director at Sundari Voyages by Archipelago Dive Reserve.

I would like to introduce our vessel, operations, and the unique experience we offer.

Sundari is the name of our one and only vessel, operated under PT Archipelago Dive Reserve, based in Komodo National Park. Sundari, meaning “beautiful” in Sanskrit, is a newly built 6.5m x 34m phinisi designed for safe and enjoyable diving and snorkeling trips in Komodo National Park—home to some of the richest marine biodiversity on the planet. Built traditionally with modern comfort, Sundari accommodates up to 12 divers (or 16 non-divers), with dive groups limited to just 4 divers per guide to ensure safety and personalized attention.

The boat features 8 cozy cabins, a dedicated dive deck with a camera table, spacious common areas, and full safety and emergency equipment, offering a comfortable liveaboard experience. Sundari was crafted by skilled boat builders from Bira, renowned for traditional Indonesian phinisi construction.

Aboard Sundari, guests journey into the heart of Komodo National Park, exploring iconic destinations such as Padar Island, Pink Beach, and Komodo dragon encounters. Dive alongside experienced underwater photographers and marine enthusiasts, deepening your understanding of marine ecosystems while practicing responsible and ethical wildlife observation. Each expedition concludes with a beach clean-up, allowing guests to actively contribute to the protection of the ocean environments they explore.

Beyond diving, every journey with Sundari creates a lasting impact. We allocate 1% of every booking to a dedicated CSR fund through P3Kom (Persatuan Penyelam Professional Komodo / Komodo Professional Divers Association), supporting local community initiatives such as free scuba diving courses for selected local teenagers; opening pathways to future careers in diving and marine conservation, as well as coral restoration, waste management, and recycling programs.

Safety Equipment

The vessel is fully equipped with advanced navigation and safety systems, supported by professional tenders to ensure seamless excursions.

Main engines: Mitsubishi 6D22 (280 PS) & 6D15 (185 PS)

Navigation & communication: GPS Garmin, AIS XINUO Class B, VHF radio, 4 handheld radios (HT), binoculars, compass, clinometer, navigation tools, nautical charts

Safety: Multiple fire extinguishers (dry powder & foam), fire blanket, lifebuoys (6), life raft (capacity 40 pax), life jackets (adults & children), international signal flags, and 2 tender boats.

Cabins

Sundari features 2 Master Cabins and 2 Signature Cabins on the upper deck, ideal for couples. The 4 Deluxe Cabins are located on the main deck, suitable for solo travelers, families, or couples. Each cabin is equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom, vanity/sink, hot water shower, and towels.

Activities

We offer a full range of activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, guided excursions, marine interpretation, cultural visits, and wellness experiences such as yoga and stargazing. Onboard amenities are designed to enhance both adventure and relaxation.

We operate a combination of shared trip departures and private charters throughout the year, with flexibility to accommodate different guest preferences. Our multilingual team ensures smooth communication and a high level of service for international guests.

We would be delighted to explore potential collaboration opportunities with you. Please feel free to reach out to continue the conversation.
