Introducing One of Southeast Asia's Most Celebrated Boutique River Cruises

Dear Valued Travel Partner,

We are pleased to announce that the Mekong Princess is now available to book through Inseanq. This is your opportunity to offer clients one of Southeast Asia's most celebrated boutique river cruises - an intimate, award-winning voyage between Vietnam and Cambodia that consistently earns five-star reviews.

About the Ship

Launched in 2015, Mekong Princess is a French-colonial inspired boutique river cruise operating between Vietnam and Cambodia. The vessel accommodates just 28 guests in 14 suites, attended by a crew of 30, making it one of the most intimate and personalised river cruise experiences in Southeast Asia.

Recognised among the Top 9 Best River Cruise Lines in Asia Pacific by the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards 2025, and a proud recipient of TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Award for three consecutive years, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Why Choose Mekong Princess

  • The only ship departing from central Ho Chi Minh City: While most Mekong cruises embark from My Tho, requiring a two-hour bus transfer, Mekong Princess guests board and disembark directly at Saigon Port in the heart of the city. The journey begins from the moment they step aboard.

  • Access to waterways no other vessel can reach: Thanks to its boutique two-deck design, the ship can navigate narrow canals, low bridges, and remote waterways that larger vessels simply cannot access. Your clients will see a side of the Mekong most travellers never do.

  • A near 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio: With only 14 suites and 29 crew, staff learn names, preferences, and pace within hours. It is the kind of attentiveness that turns a good holiday into an unforgettable one.

  • Exclusive access to Cần Thơ: The Mekong Princess is the only vessel permitted to dock in Cần Thơ City, giving clients exclusive access to Cái Răng, the largest floating market in Southeast Asia.

  • Less touristy by design: Departures run every Thursday on alternating upstream and downstream itineraries, following an independent route that keeps well away from the crowded tourist trail.

  • Support for local communities: The Mekong Princess supports a school in Angkor Ban and an orphanage in Phnom Penh, something many clients find genuinely meaningful.

Itineraries

8 Days / 7 Nights · Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap (Upstream) & Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City (Downstream): The flagship itinerary, crossing two countries and the full length of the lower Mekong. Highlights include Cái Răng Floating Market at Cần Thơ, Mekong Delta villages, Phnom Penh, and Angkor Ban before arriving in Siem Reap, gateway to the temples of Angkor Wat. Note: the final leg to Siem Reap is by motorcoach.

5 Days / 4 Nights · Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh (Upstream): A focused journey through the Mekong Delta waterways into Cambodia's storied capital. Ideal for clients with limited time who still want a genuinely immersive experience.

6 Days / 5 Nights · Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City (Downstream): Beginning in Phnom Penh and winding south through the Delta back to Saigon. A natural complement to a longer Cambodia itinerary.

A Word from a Fellow Agent

"As the owner of a retail travel business, I thoroughly researched every ship that sails on the Mekong. I opted for the Mekong Princess for its boutique size, luxury amenities, and all-inclusive price. The food was superb, we had more crew than passengers to service our every need. The shore excursions were great, and because of the size of the ship we could gain access to places the larger ships cannot get to. I will be recommending the Mekong Princess to all my clients considering a cruise on the Mekong." - Ricky W, TripAdvisor
