With combined experience of over 40 years in the diving and liveaboard industry, Frank van der Linde and Kerry Leach have returned to the industry, coming together to revolutionize the standard liveaboard experience with their vessels, Philippines Explorer I and Philippines Explorer II… and they are excited to make these vessels available for bookings now.

BOTH vessels have gyro-stabilisers for ultimate comfort and safe cruising for guests and crew. Philippines Explorer I is also the first liveaboard of its kind; built to IACS-standards, the first hybrid diesel-electric liveaboard in the Philippines meaning guests can enjoy the comfort of silent nights with the vessel running on battery power at night. Furthermore, the vessel has a DP system so no anchor! That means no hearing the anchor chain thrown or pulled up in the night, and better, there is no risk at all of an anchor damaging the reefs we set out to visit and explore!

With more than 7000 islands, the Philippines is a region that still has lots of untapped potential for divers and liveaboards.

The focus is very much on safety and excellence, limiting night time cruising and allowing guests to explore further in the Philippines with their itineraries.

In 2028 and 2029 they are also introducing special PNG and Marshall Island expeditions beyond the Philippines, so watch this space!

Philippines Explorer 1 – With accommodations for 21 guests, extending to 22 guests on some full charters, you will find a luxury ONE Premium Suite for 2 people, SIX Deluxe Suites with private balcony, THREE Super Comfort Cabins (twin/double) and ONE Comfort Cabin reserved for single occupancy. The single-occupancy Comfort Cabin can be converted to a twin bunk cabin on a full-charter basis only.

Operating to Tubbataha during season from March to July, and then returning to the signature ULTIMATE VISAYAS itinerary, which is a unique trip for chances to see whale sharks, thresher sharks, mantas and the best critters of the coral triangle all in one trip!

Philippines Explorer 2 - With accommodations for 6 guests, this is perfect for those that want to elevate their liveaboard experience to a private yacht in style! Very much a great option for divers and non-divers, customised itineraries are the norm for full charters, or guests can book as individuals to join a scheduled 6-night trip departing from either Dauin, Malapascua or Donsol.

As showcased in our brochures for Philippines Explorer I and Philippines Explorer II, and on our website, Philippines Explorer I is the ideal choice for individual bookings or large groups, while Philippines Explorer II is perfect for smaller groups.

Both liveaboards are fully equipped for scuba diving, including Nitrox up to 32%, as well as a variety of non-diving activities such as snorkeling, cultural excursions, bird-watching and jungle trek expeditions. We have snorkeling equipment, SUPs, and yoga mats on board to enhance your leisure experience.

Starlink internet WiFi is available to purchase via onboard packages.
