How to setup prices

Prices module helps you organize prices for individuals, groups and full charter in one place and includes easy-to-use tools for bulk editing and automatic calculation of prices.

The module is presented as a grid with rate plans (and specials if applicable) in the left column and trips with price details of each trip displayed in columns to the right in chronological order. Cabin types and occupancies details are listed under the standard rate plan.

To navigate, use the horizontal scroll bar. You can edit trip details if needed by clicking the pencil icon in the top header.

The filtering tools on top of the screen help you narrow down the selection of trips appearing in the module by vessel, product and date.

These four states are colour coded:

  • Available for booking (green fill): spaces available for booking at this rate plan

  • Prices not set (dotted green outline): prices need to be specified

  • Booking disabled (grey fill): rate plan is disabled

  • Not enough spaces at this rate (yellow fill): rate plan no longer available due to not meeting minimum space requirement of the rate plan

How to set prices

Enter prices for occupancies in each cabin type in the boxes provided.

To specify prices of different occupancies of the same cabin type (in the standard rate plan), click the gear icon beside the applicable occupancy.
You can set prices manually for each occupancy, use a base price for all, or specify how to calculate (as % or amount difference from the base price).

If applicable, enter the full charter price.

Tip: Group rates are calculated automatically based on standard rate prices according to the rules specified in rate plan setup

How to change prices using bulk tool

To change prices for multiple trips at the same time, click the pencil icon in the left column beside the occupancy type for which you would like to update prices and a pop-up will open.

In the pop-up window:

  • Specify the date range in which the change applies

  • In the drop-down check boxes of products to which the change applies

  • Specify the new price

Click 'Save' to apply changes

How to activate/deactivate rate plans for select trips

There are two ways to activate/deactivate a rate plan for select trips

#1 Per legend on top of screen, the states of rate plans are colour coded: green fill for active, and grey fill for disabled. Click on the rate plan's bar in the applicable trip column once to switch between these two states as needed.

#2 To update multiple trips (for Group and / or Full Charters rate plans only), click the pencil icon in the left column beside the rate plan which you would like to activate/deactivate and a pop-up will open.

In the pop-up window:

  • Specify the date range in which the change applies

  • In the drop-down check boxes of products to which the change applies

  • Specify 'available' or 'not available'

Click 'Save' to apply changes

Tip: Activate select rate plans based on your sales goals, or block out certain weeks from booking

Tip: When deciding whether to activate or deactivate certain rate plans or specials, you can take into account the availability of trips displayed on the Prices page. This ensures that your decisions correspond with the occupancy level of the specific trip.
