Specials allow you to discount particular trips and highlight them on your availability. As availability import populates the prices based on Standard rate plan any Special offers you might have need to be created in Inseanq separately.
Specials setup is found under the Prices tab of the left navigation bar.
Specials can be used with any of the rate plans (individual, group and charter).
There are four types: Basic deal, Last minute, Early bird and Free spaces.
Tip: If you operate multiple vessels you will need to setup specials for each vessel separately.
Setup of Basic deal special
To start, under the applicable vessel, click 'Add special' and select Basic deal special. Next:
Enter % of discount (alternatively, you can specify $ amount)
Specify rate plan (independent or charter)
Select applicable booking policy
Select applicable cancellation policy
Add description of the special in the text box
Customize the name of the special
Check the box 'enable rate plan for online booking engine' to enable this rate plan for direct sales (optional)
Click 'save'
Setup of Last minute special
To start, under the applicable vessel, click 'Add special' and select Last minute special.
Next:
Indicate the number of days before the start of the trip when this special becomes available
Enter % of discount (alternatively, you can specify $ amount)
Specify rate plan (independent or charter)
Select applicable booking policy
Select applicable cancellation policy
Add description of the special in the text box
Customize the name of the special
Check the box 'enable rate plan for online booking engine' to enable this rate plan for direct sales (optional)
Click 'save'
Setup of Early bird special
To start, under the applicable vessel, click 'Add special' and select Early bird special.
Next:
Indicate the number of days before the start of the trip when this special becomes available
Enter % of discount (alternatively, you can specify $ amount)
Specify rate plan (independent or charter)
Select applicable booking policy
Select applicable cancellation policy
Add description of the special in the text box
Customize the name of the special
Check the box 'enable rate plan for online booking engine' to enable this rate plan for direct sales (optional)
Click 'save'
Setup of Free spaces special
To start, under the applicable vessel, click 'Add special' and select Free spaces special.
Next:
Specify # number of paid spaces per # number of free spaces, as well as cabin type and occupancy offered for the free of charge space
Enter % of discount (alternatively, you can specify $ amount) - optional
Specify rate plan (independent or charter)
Select applicable booking policy
Select applicable cancellation policy
Add description of the special in the text box
Customize the name of the special
Check the box 'enable rate plan for online booking engine' to enable this rate plan for direct sales (optional)
Click 'save'
Tip: Please note that after creating a specials you need to go to Prices and manage its validity (make it active for particular trips/dates/products), otherwise it won't be visible.
Tip: You can make a special available for booking online in Widget settings. Alternatively, click the triple dot symbol to the right of the special and click 'edit' (or simply click on the special name in the list) and a window with special details will open. Check the box 'enable special plan for online booking engine' to enable this special for direct sales (optional).
Setup of the booking period for specials
If your specials offers and promotions are limited in time you can set the validity of the booking period for each special.
Enable the setting to allow setting the date range when this special should be available for booking. Such settings can be used with any type of special.
