Trip status automation allows you to switch the trip statuses based on a pre-set number of optioned/booked spaces. To enable this feature please go to Settings -> General Settings in the left navigation bar and enable Trip status automation.

Once enabled, you'll need to pre-set the number of optioned/booked spaces required to confirm the trip for each product. Open the Products section in the left navigation bar, click on Product name, you will find a new numeric field there.

Tip: Please note, this setting can be used only if there is one Vessel associated with the corresponding Product

Tip: You can enter 0 as a number for trip status automation. In this case all the trips added to your availability will have Confirmed status

Tip: We recommend keeping the requirements for trip confirmation as low as possible: guests and agents may hesitate to book unconfirmed trips, as it doesn't allow them to proceed with additional travel arrangements and finalize the trip planning.

The system will automatically update the status of all trips in the schedule based on the number of both optioned and booked spaces.

If required you can change the trip status manually. Please go to the Availability module, find the trip you are interested in and zoom in to the trip details. Click on the drop-down with trips status to change it.

The system will display an informational hint stating how many optioned/booked spaces are yet required to confirm the trip.

Tip: Once a trip status is changed manually, automatic changes will no longer be applied to that trip.
